Decisions
Decisions. We all have to make them. Some decisions we make will be easy, some are of little importance to anyone else, yet some will be huge. So goes in to the deciding factor? Well, for me I pray, I pray some more, and wait. Sometimes I get an answer right away, other times I am left waiting. But what about those times when time is speeding away and there’s still that all important decision to make.
For me that time is now. As you may, or may not know, I am working toward an online video project in which I will be preaching the Word of God outside of the confines of the “church building” – out in the parks, on beaches, and on the streets. As such I have been busily writing and organizing everything, prepping the way for these “video sermons.” Except now I’m at the stage when I have to make the hard decision as to which video camera, sound equipment, and editing software I will be using.
I know some of you reading this will, with a wave of your hand say something like, “Just buy something already.” But it’s not that simple. See, I have this nagging voice in the back of my head to “keep it real,” which is one of my fundamental beliefs regarding Christianity and outreach. But does this mean I compromise the production quality and buy something cheaper (I must admit I do like cheaper:)) or do I buy something that is a lot more professional and will evolve as this ministry evolves?
I know that my decision is not a life changing decision, or is it? I mean, if HardcoreFaith.com keeps on growing every month (50%+) these “video sermons” could potentially reach thousands of people every month… maybe even ten’s of thousands.
I would ask that you say a little prayer for me this week as I seek the Lord as to the gear that this ministry needs. I don’t want to be a perfectionist, but I do want to produce something that will not only be of interest to believers, but also to those who have yet to make that all important decision – the decision that is, without doubt, life changing!

Hey Christian,
If your not getting anything specific from the Holy Spirit, use wisdom and despise not the day of small beginnings, get something to cover the bases right now. If God grows it, he’ll feed it, and supply what it needs.
Let the peace of God be your umpire, and it sounds like you don’t have peace about going cheap. I pray God will guide you as you lean not to your own understanding. May His Kingdom come and His will be done in your life as necessary.
Thanks for your feedback. I am leaning towards a camera that is about midway between low end and high end. You are right that the Lord will supply as the need arises, and he has. I just want to do what God wnats, not just what Chris wants!
