You and I know it's a movie, but how many unbelievers know that it's not based on Scripture. We live in a post Christian generation and as such many people don't have the slightest idea as to Christianity, the Bible, God, Jesus, angels, and demons. I appreciate and respect your view, please do the same for mine

Wow ….it's a MOVIE , not real nor did they ever claim it was based on actual events. Get over it. Stop looking for reasons to complain and spend your time celebrating your faith.

Personally, I think the whole movie was whack! But that's just my opinion. I was hoping that Legion would be an angels vs. demons kind of movie… it was a big letdown. Even people who are not adherents to faith disliked this one… much the the Schwarzenegger turkey "End of Days".

I don't see that Gabriel was presented as the 'bad guy'…he was presented as the angel that obeyed God most faithfully and carried out his orders. He would have done the same thing by appearing to Mary to announce her bearing of Jesus. In fact, many times during the film, particularly during the fight scene at the end it showed that Gabriel himself was struggling with the decision God made, but his loyalty to God was stronger than any misgivings he may have had.

Thanks Jim for your comment. There are some great faith-based movies coming out at the moment, but alas Legion is not one of them. The reviewer at PluggedInOnline said it was probably the worst movie he ever saw. I for one will not waste my time on the anti-Gospel according to Hollywood.

Very well stated. What ever happened to the Hollywood that wasn’t afraid to
make great biblical movies like The Ten Commandments and Ben Hur or even
Jesus of Nazereth. Thank you Mel Gibson for the Passion Of Christ. When I saw
the Legion trailer, I thought the same as you, what a joke. The producer should be
laughed out of the business. When I saw that Gabriel was going to be the bad guy, I
thought for sure the good angels name was going to be Lucifer. I guess the morons
in Hollywood aren’t that bold, Yet. Anyway, great post. Thanks for taking a stand.

When I saw the trailer for this, I was like “Did they even READ the Bible?” It seems in all these end time scenarios, God is thwarted by the actions of man. To me it’s ironic that they pilfer the story from the Word, and then alter it.
