Absolutely spot on Rob! If you like this message then I wholeheartedly recommend Bonhoeffer's book. It was first published in 1937 and yet it's timeless. One of my friends said that it's almost biblical in that much of what is written has been relevant to every generation since.

I like what you had to say, sorry I missed the sermon. Maybe you have notes that you could fire off to me ;) Glad you're liking the vidz... many more on the way!

Hey Chris,

A great message. I spoke on repentance this past Sunday at our church. One of the concepts Jesus laid on my heart to speak to was the idea that only one repentance is enough. Some folks may think that once we've been forgiven and fall under the Grace of God that there is no need for further repentance. I think that is a form of 'cheap grace' wouldn't you think? Repentance builds our relationship with Christ and intentionally draws us closer to Him. Wouldn't we all like that? What would you feel like if your children only repented once? Ever. Would you still love them? Of course. But it wouldn't make for a great relationship would it? Besides, as parents, one of the greatest joys I can experience is forgiving my kids when they are sorry for doing wrong.

Remember, God is overjoyed in our repentance, in fact Jesus told three consequtive parables in Luke 15 about how much rejoicing there is in heaven when one sinner repents. I think Jesus wanted us to 'get it' that repentance and costly grace are important and necessary for a meaningful relationship with our Saviour.

Keep it up! Like the new video format too.
