Let Us Give Thanks
Today in Thanksgiving in Canada and I feel I must pause to give thanks:
I am thankful for so many things including a beautiful wife and wonderful kids, a great and loving extended family, money in the bank and food on the table.
I am thankful that my children do not ever wake up and face famine, war or disease.
I am thankful that God has a plan for my life – a plan to prosper me and fulfill His will in and through me.
I am thankful that Jesus came and took my place upon an old rugged cross that I may be spared the wrath of God and death.
And I am thankful for you, my readers.
Today just take a moment and ask yourself what am I thankful for? I know that Thanksgiving in the USA is next month but shouldn’t we give pause daily to thank God for all that we have and all that He is doing in and through us? As Scripture says, “Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.” Psalm 107:1 (NIV)
