May God Forgive Us

In the Holocaust of WW2 the Nazi War Machine killed 11 million people. In the Rwandan genocide that took place in 1994 over one million people were slaughtered. Figures we can barely comprehend and yet our hearts are both saddened and shocked that this type of thing can happen in the first place.

Move forward to now and a new report by the pro-abortion Guttmacher Institute, entitled “Abortion Worldwide: A Decade of Uneven Progress,” points to the fact that since it’s legalization over a billion abortions have been performed. Conservative figures come in at around 1.2 billion.

None of us can begin to fathom or get our heads around those kinds of numbers. But think on this: As of 18 October 2009, the Earth’s population is estimated by the United States Census Bureau to be 6,791,160,978. If then 1.2 billion unborn children have been killed through abortion that number amounts to just under 20% of the people currently alive today.

May God forgive us!

  1. So roughly if we are in a room with 6 other people we are missing at least one person who never had the choice to be there. May God bring peace, healing and redemption to all the lives destroyed through abortion.

  2. Hey Mike! Absolutely man. The good news is we will meet these 1.2 billion souls in Heaven one day. Our job in the meantime is to pray and support those who have been affected by and through abortion.
