It's awesome to know that there are others who have experienced this - not that being lonely or facing hard times are "awesome" but the peace that follows is. There are so many believers who desire the old, godly way... they just need to be made aware that such a way exists. Thanks Melissa and may God's grace and blessing shine upon you. :D

thanks for this message Chris! We know what it has meant to be lonely but we also know what it means to find rest/ peace in the face of big trials. I'd never go back to a more comfortable life with that kind of inner turmoil- knowing that I was not living as God was directing me.
We are standing with you in that prayer!

You gave your all for us Jesus-- we will give our lives for you!

I know what you're saying. I was thinking about all the years I went out to do concerts at fundraisers where Christians were sitting and eating their buffet dinners. I would be trying to be passionate about God with my intense, sensitive songs and nobody was listening. All you could hear was the sound of forks on plates. Years and years of that, until I couldn't do it any more. I've often felt like a real failure but maybe I was just supposed to do it out of obedience. Talk about lonely. Pastors must feel like that too. Sermon after sermon with little response.

Keep up the good work. I like your line "we know Jesus wasn't on crack that day" Excellent.
