Keeping it simple... Keeping it real!

Wow! That’s Worship?

The other day I came across a music CD that was described as “an extremely brutal work of death metal praise and worship.” Instantly I was reminded of the video I have posted below. Although I do listen to heavy metal and beyond, but I do have to question if this style of music would work on a typical Sunday morning… you decide as you have a laugh!

  1. This is a funny parody, but just because music like this might not be used in the average church on an average Sunday morning doesn't mean can't be a form of worship! How the Lord longs for those who aren't afraid to express the battle cry of His heart! HE IS COMING and it aint gonna be all happy happy joy joy lalalala…!

    • Thanks Dar for you response. I didn't post this video to mock anyone, I have some extreme praise and although I like it as far as music goes, I don't know I could spend time in contemplation, meditation, and prayer, listening to it. I agree, when the Lord returns it's not going to be all happy, especially for those who don't believe. But I think praise and worship music is supposed to speak to our soul and release us to be able to worship God in an attitude of surrender. If you can actually worship (in the sense of contemplative prayer) to extreme brutal metal then praise God. Personally I like Celtic praise music for this purpose. :)

  2. I wanna see Dave King do this version of Blessed Be Your Name. Next Sunday. Bring your friends.
